A website refresh that fits twelve years of weddings, a 170-year-old farmhouse, and the historic-and-romantic direction Bolder set in 2019. It elevates the design, makes the site easier to maintain, and turns it into a real front door for everything Wren Farm has become.

The Opportunity

A Site That Feels Like the Farm

Wren Farm is the kind of place I'd want my friends to get married. You've earned every one of those twelve years in person: the barn, the field, the peonies, the Champaign County backdrop, the calm of a place that knows what it's doing. The site hasn't kept pace with the venue.

You said the site "just feels not elevated." The bones are too good for that to be true. You have the story, the photos, the awards, the years. This proposal is about making the site do the same lifting the venue does, without complicating your life or asking you to learn new software.

That's what's below. Two paths to launch by mid-June. One keeps you on Squarespace at a lower price with the design limited by the platform. The other is a custom build on my hosting, where the design has no platform constraints and you never log into Squarespace to manage the site again.

What Doesn't Change, Either Way

Your wren-farm.com domain stays in your name. Your @wren-farm.com emails stay where they are, yours and your coordinators'. The domain stays registered with Squarespace either way. Nothing about how you and your team run the day-to-day changes. All we're doing is refreshing the front door.

Every project I take on follows the same arc. The two mockup directions you saw on our call are step one, already done. Below is everything from there to launch.

The Interview, Specifically

Thirty minutes, in person if you want. I'll drive to Mechanicsburg or we can meet in Urbana for coffee. I'll come with questions; you bring the Bolder brochures, your favorite photos, and your honest reactions. We talk fonts, what you want couples to feel in the first three seconds, what the brochures said that the site never captured, and what's a hard no. By the end, the brief is locked in.

Option A · Squarespace Stay

The Squarespace Refresh

The simpler path. The site stays on Squarespace. You keep paying Squarespace the same monthly fee you pay now. I refresh the design within the platform's blocks and templates, which means the result is meaningfully better than today but won't match every detail of the mockups you saw on our call. Squarespace puts some guardrails on layout, animation, and the calendar that custom code can step past.

Scope is capped at 5 pages on this path. We'll be deliberate about which pages earn the space (homepage, about, gallery, flowers, availability is the natural lineup) and fold things like Vendors, Testimonials, and FAQs into sections on those pages instead of standalone pages.

Best fit if you want to keep this tight on cost, stay on a platform you already know, and reserve budget for what you might want later.

The Squarespace Refresh
One-Time Build

Same mid-June launch as Option B. Squarespace stays your platform, so you keep the login and billing relationship you already have. 50% deposit to lock the build slot, 50% on 110% satisfaction. No contract, handshake basis.

The Custom Build & Host

The version of the site you saw in the mockups, built off-platform with no template constraints. A minimum 10-page website that includes the main pages plus supporting location pages for the towns around Mechanicsburg (Marysville, Plain City, Dublin, Hilliard, Columbus) and dedicated service pages for weddings, smaller events, and flowers. All wired with proper schema markup so search engines understand exactly what you are and where you serve, which puts you in front of the Columbus-area searches from day one.

I host it on my infrastructure, which covers hosting, security, plugin upkeep, routine maintenance, and unlimited site edits (any change you want is an email to me, turned around within 48 hours). Sub-second load times. SEO-optimized from the day it goes live. You never log into Squarespace to manage the site again, and you stop paying Squarespace for the website portion of your current plan. Domain registration and your @wren-farm.com emails stay exactly where they are.

With Option B, your website hosting moves to me, and you keep Squarespace only for the parts that handle your domain and email (a much smaller plan). The Way I Work

A 50% deposit locks your build slot. The other 50% lands when you're 110% satisfied across every font, photo, and section. No contract. Handshake basis. If something goes wrong, we fix it.

Your domain stays in your name in both options. Your @wren-farm.com emails stay where they are. If at any point you want to take the keys and run things yourself, you keep everything that was built.
